Step-by-step guide for Sage Intacct Sync Setup
When you sync your account with Sage Intacct, you'll be able to import all of your vendors and send Business Center vendors and bills that are ready to pay directly to your Sage Intacct account.
- Sign in to your Sage Intacct account to get started.
- Click Applications and select Company from the dropdown menu. Under the Setup tab, you will see a section labeled Configuration. Click Company in that section.
- Go to the Security section and click the Edit button to make adjustments to the settings on this page.
- Scroll down to the space labeled Web Services authorizations and click the Add button.
- A window will pop up and ask for information about the Web Service Sender ID that you want to authorize.
Make sure the Status is set to active and in the field labeled Sender ID, enter Paymentus.
Then, click the Save button in the upper right-hand corner to confirm the authorization.
Paymentus web service sender ID is authorized. - Now that this web service Sender ID has been authorized, the next step is to add a Web Service User in your Sage Intacct which would have permissions to access the data to be synchronized with the Business Center. A Web Service User does not have access to the application user interface and is only used to synchronize the data.
Click Applications again and select Company from the dropdown menu. Then, choose the Admin tab and look at the section labeled Users, roles & groups. Click Web Services users. - Fill out the required fields with the following recommendations:
- User ID:Paymentus-Web (This is a recommendation)
- Last Name: Web
- First Name: Paymentus
- Email Address: Your email address
- Then, click Roles Information. Select the first Role Name field and click the arrow to see a dropdown menu. Click Add.
- Enter "PAYMENTUS Web Services" in the Name field and click Save. You will be prompted to provide your password again to confirm the new role addition.
Your new role is added. - Next, click Company at the top of the screen. Within the Users, roles & groups section in the Admin tab, click Roles.
- Find PAYMENTUS Web Services in your list of Roles and click Edit.
- Click View Subscriptions.
- UPDATED?: Check Company, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Once you've saved the new permission settings for each application, click the Save button to update the role's subscriptions.OLD: Check the "Select All" box to subscribe the role to all. For each listed Application/Module, click Permissions and make sure every box is checked. You can select All for every section to ensure all permissions are included. Then, click Save.
Once you've saved the new permission settings for each application, click the Save button to update the role's subscriptions.
Now that you've established a connection between Paymentus and Sage Intacct, you can turn on synchronization.
- Sign in to your Paymentus account and go to Settings > Accounting Software Sync. Click Connect to Sage Intacct.
- A pop-up will come up for you enter Sage Intacct credentials. Enter your Sage Intact login information to proceed.
- Company ID – The Sage Intacct ID of your company. You can find the Company Id by going to Company > Company Info > ID field in Sage Intacct
- Entity Id – Paymentus Business Center syncs each of your Sage Intacct entities with a particular Business Center Company. Please provide the Entity Id of the Sage Intacct Entity that you want to sync with the current company. You can find the Entity Id by going to Company -> Entities -> Entity Id. (Please follow the section on Companies (link) to know more about multiple companies in Business Center)
- Username – This is the User Name of the Web Service User that you had created in Sage Intacct, as explained in the previous section. For example “Paymentus-Web” above.
- Password – This is the password of the Web Service User.
- Sender ID – This is the name of the Paymentus Sender ID that you need.
- That’s it! The Business Center will sync with the following data from Sage Intacct:
- Chart of Accounts – One way from Sage Intacct to Business Center
- Vendors – Two way sync
- Bills – Two way sync
- Business Center auto-syncs daily, but you can force a manual sync anytime by clicking into Settings > Accounting Software Sync > Sync Now.
- You’ll see all your imported vendors under Contacts > Vendors. Any new vendors you add to the Business Center will be synced to Sage Intacct.
- You’ll see the imported chart of accounts under Settings > Chart of Accounts. You can’t add or change the Chart of Accounts in the Business Center.
